Planning begins for our September 2009 trip to France
This week we have been considering our France surf tour. We’ve been planning logistics and where to surf.
There are plenty of spots to surf along the coast near Seignosse. Hossegor and Biarritz are well known, but there are plenty of other great places with less crowds and great waves.

Cycling is the best and cheapest way to get aruond the area in South West France on our France Surf Holiday. You can hire a bike with helmet and bike lock near our campsite for a day or the week. The roads are very safe to bike on and there are some lovely cycle paths

Well it was far from epic this afternoon. The wind got up even further after lunch, and we’d hoped that Watergate might be ok, but the winds were hellish and it was 20mph+ gusts and choppy waves!! Plus it was really cold! Summer wetsuit was not warm enough! AAgh! Roll on our France Surf Holiday

We are looking forward to our September Surf Holiday to France this year in Seignosse, South West France. Miles of golden sandy beaches, great surf, sunshine and good company! Now we are getting really desperate!! It’s been weeks of blown out windswell here in cloudy Cornwall! Seems like the worst conditions for surfing for ages! The weather in Cornwall this year has been disappointing to say the least! And forecasters are not rushing to tell us about a BBQ summer at any point now! Check out the Fistral Webcam yesterday! Watergate and Fistral (here in Newquay) were both going off yesterday. Everyone seemed to know it and was out enjoying the surf. There is lots of sand on the beaches, making the banks work nicely. Last night we had a great BBQ, and a great day watching the ASP World Tour. It’s all systems go for the Tour. We have been at the beach surfing alongside the pro’s, and watching them at Hossegor in the comp. We are off to Biarritz today to surf and hang out. It’s great weather
