This morning, (a particularly dark and drizzly morning in Cornwall) we set off on our next surf adventure to France. Driving through the English lanes and motorways to Portsmouth in the cool air, it was hard to imagine that in less than 24 hours we’ll be surfing in the warm seas of South West France. All 5 of us managed to meet, and board the ferry in time. This was not as easy as it sounds when we were coming from as far away as Sheffield and Newquay!

At about 6pm local time we’ll disembark and head south over the Pont du Normandie, an impressive suspension bridge spanning the river Seine. We’ll stop for dinner somewhere nice, and set up our tents to camp for the night on one of the well equipped campsites they have all over France. They really should have them here, if only we had the space!

For now it’s time to sit back in the ferry bar, watch Andy Murray on the big screen, and relax! Vive le globalsurfadventures!
