Surfing legend Kelly Slater entered the Telstra Drug Aware Pro at Margaret River, Western Australia for the first time since he entered the competition back in 1993.

This ‘Prime’ event on the ASP world tour attracts the top surfers with big prize money. Conditions were tough, with just 2 wave sets, and Slater did just enough to get through to the next round. Mick Fanning scored the day’s top scoring ride with a 9.0.

Margaret River is set to see some big surf right now and the event should get exciting with 20ft sets predicted!  Watch it on live stream at www.asp.com
