As I thought our secret spot was blown out by the wrong direction of wind. It was too chopppy for us to bother getting in, but there were plenty of surfers trying their hand on this wave. It only works well on a big swell and with winds in the right direction. We are looking forward to the weekend where off-shores are predicted. Whey-hey!!

It was a classic Cornish day today with the on-shore winds spoiling the surf. But we had fun wandering round the shops in Perranporth and taking it easy. And it was nice and warm when the sun came out.

Yesterday on our France surf holiday the weather turned a bit Cornish with rain and onshore wind so we took a trip to Biarritz. It’s a great place, a very pretty tourist town not far from the border with Spain. It has a pretty open square with lots of places to eat. They often have art exhibitions or local market produce in the square. There are also a number of cobbled streets off the square with pretty shops and boutiques. Last time I went they had a great t-shirt shop with a t-shirt with Bruce Lee reading a book and the slogan read ‘Bruce Lit’ – well funny!

It’s getting a little samey, but we can’t help saying how great it is in the sun and the surf! We have had some great days in the sea and a delicious BBQ last night at the surf camp. Our France surf holiday continues till the 29th September 2010.

It’s been another good day of small clean waves for everyone. We’ve all been out back together and enjoyed the surfing in Seignosse on our France surf holiday.

Swell is due to pick up later this week which should be fun for the ASP World Tour which starts on the 25th here at Les Bourdaines and the beach breaks nearby. Watch it live on the ASP website.

Everyone has been getting some really good waves over the last few days as the swell has dropped enough for learners and improvers to get out back and try riding the green waves!

It has been lovely sunny weather too and everyone is topping up their tans in between surfing.

Surfed as much as we could yesterday and then had a lovely chilli con carne for dinner courtesey of Mark and John.

Today was really amazing surf-wise at Seignosse le Penon. Quite big surf and lots of perfect overhead barrels going off. Surfers were getting pulled in to head-high surf and getting barrelled left right and centre! Check out the lovely barrel below!

Tomorrow and the next few days the surf is dropping off and we should see some perfect conditions for learning and improving your surfing here in South West France.

Today we got the new swell, and we had light offshore winds and perfect 4ft waves. There are some really nice banks at les Bourdaines beach. We surfed like mad today with two surfs before lunch, the second surf was even better than the first and super glassy! It was also really warm today, so a perfect day all round.

It looks like more good waves in the morning. Roll on France surf holiday!!!

Nice and warm today here in Seignosse, South West France, with temperatures in the mid 20s and great surf; 2ft clean waves! Tomorrow is forecast to be even hotter and a new slightly bigger swell arriving at lunchtime.

We always check the weather reports to have a look at wind direction, and what the high and low pressure systems are doing out in the Atlantic. These reports give us a good picture of what our surfing should be like. We use Windguru mostly. Have a look and see what it’s looking like for our France Surf Holiday!
