Photos of Morocco
We’ve just uploaded some of our Morocco surf holiday photos to the galleries page.
The 2010 trip was a good one. We had some big surf days, but we also had some good smaller days. Most days the surf was head high or bigger on the big days. Most years we’ve had small surf in January, [...]
Home sweet home
We are back home after a great surf holiday to Morocco. We had some great waves, had some hot sun, and met some great people we’ll stay in touch with. We’ll put some piccys up on the website soon. Next trip France in September!
Everyone out the back
Today we all had a good surf on Panoramas. Then this afternoon we had everyone out back at Mysteries beach break. The surf was 6-8ft on the faces so they were all brave to get out, and get back! Tonight we are off to the village for dinner. Sadly we have some people leaving tomorrow [...]
Fun on Mystery Island
It sounds like an episode of Scooby Doo, but it’s actually a reef off Mysteries beach here in Morocco that creates a lovely right hand wave to surf. It is great fun, and has seen many casualties as people take off too close and end up either on the rock or get washed over it! Mainly scraped skin [...]
Mixed weather and surf, but conditions improving
Well we have had a few mixed days of surf and weather so far in Morocco.
The weather has been more unsettled than usual for this part of Morocco, with some heavy rain around Christmas and more wind than usual.
The reason for this less settled weather down here and indeed the cold weather in the UK [...]
Surf holiday in Morocco
We landed in Morocco on Sunday and headed up to Taghazout. We’ve got our usual apartments by the sea. Weather is changeable, sunny this morning but showers this afternoon. Big swell today. Luckily we have much warmer temperatures than the snowy UK!
Just me and Mark for a few days as our next tour arrivals have been delayed [...]
Morocco surf holiday starts here
Tonight we are driving up to Gatwick, and very early tomorrow morning we fly to Agadir, Morocco, and start our 4 weeks of surf heaven! The surf is looking like its getting big and there is unfortunately some rain, but we will be having some fun out there. It’s so much warmer than the UK, [...]
Surfing the web
Surfing has become more mainstream than ever before. Surfing is barging into popular culture and knocking football off its top spot as a sport people desire to master and excel at. Images of surfing can be found now on adverts for new shopping centres - see St Austell’s White River complex, and even adverts on [...]
World Tour and fun in the surf
Last night we had a great BBQ, and a great day watching the ASP World Tour. It’s all systems go for the Tour. We have been at the beach surfing alongside the pro’s, and watching them at Hossegor in the comp. We are off to Biarritz today to surf and hang out. It’s great weather [...]
Heavy rain and thunderstorms, weather clearing
It was rain, rain, rain last night. About 1 inch of rain fell overnight accompanied by thunder and lightning. Luckily in our camp we have pitched our tents on a higher piece of ground, so we are dry. There are some tents by the lac which were floating around this morning! Nightmare for them! We [...]
