Slater snaked but 10th title still possible
0The ASP continued last night in Puerto Rico and the surfing was expectedly world class. Dane Reynolds put on a show with load of different air manoeuvres that the commentators didn’t even have any names for! They kept making up names and invited in Tom Curran to commentate to take the pressure off them! In the mean time the old master Kelly Slater got a step closer to his 10th world title, partly due to a paddle interference call, which then gave him first place in the heat. He is now in the quarter final.
For the girls Stephanie Gilmore is once again Queen of women’s surfing, with yet another world title under her belt.
Looks like its a lovely water temperature over there, everyone is surfing in board shorts. Not like here where booties are now a necessary evil and the water is getting very cool at about 13C.
We are dreaming of warm surfing, have to be our next France Surf Holiday in September 2011 in South West France. Come with us for as little as £350 for a week of fun in the late summer sun! See our France page for details.
ASP World Tour continues
0As we sadly come to the end of our France surf holiday 2010, we have been cheering ourselves up by watching the pros compete in the ASP World Tour. Kelly Slater has been practising out on the Bourdaines peaks where we surf. It has been really exciting watching him and surfing with (well alomst with?!) him.
It will be great to get back home though. Our family will be back together. My little boy has just turned 1 so we are very proud parents and we are looking forward to spending quality time together in Newquay,…. and hopefully surfing some of those annual October swells of course!
Our next France surf holiday is in 2011 but before then we will be updating you on our exciting new South Africa Surfing Holiday to Jeffrey’s Bay…… read about it here and on our South Africa page.
Sun continues to shine in South West France
0It’s been another good day of small clean waves for everyone. We’ve all been out back together and enjoyed the surfing in Seignosse on our France surf holiday.
Swell is due to pick up later this week which should be fun for the ASP World Tour which starts on the 25th here at Les Bourdaines and the beach breaks nearby. Watch it live on the ASP website.
Only 6 weeks to our France Surf Holiday!

It’s always fun in France. We get to eat great food, surf great waves, sunbathe, drink great wine, (just a little of course!), and watch a bit of the ASP world tour at the end of our trip. Perfect!! Here’s a pic of us doing us that in 2008.
Come and join us for as little as £342!! See our France surf holiday page for all the details.
