Jordy Smith, only 23, and already a legend, from South Africa, has won the 2011 Billabong Pro Jeffrey’s Bay. He beat Mick Fanning in a wave to wave surf-off in front of a friendly & rowdy home crowd. The conditions were not ideal, but as it was the last day of the contest they had to proceed. To be expected, the world’s top surfers managed to make the most of it and select the best of the waves, and still shredded like it was 5ft and clean!

Joel Parkinson has now taken the lead from Adriano de Souza who had a knee injury less than 2 weeks before the contest, which probably contributed to him being knocked out in the early rounds. The top ranked surfers are now as follows:

On our France surf holiday we travel to Seignosse, SW France. Our France surf camp is nestled under tall pines, close to the beach, and we surf the beast beach breaks along this coast. There are miles of white sandy beaches to sunbathe and surf. It really is a surfers paradise!
