Mr Cortez takes a big knock
Jan 15th

It seems to be a week of surfboard calamities!!! First Mr Cruz, now Mr Cortez has been struck by a big wave too. When Arran was surfing Mystery Island yesterday morning, and after a partiuclarly gnarly dumpy wave had passed, he noticed Mr C had a very big long crease along the front and the rails. It looks like it won’t last much longer. Poor Mr Cortez!
Arran and I are feeling the loss of our boards. We went out surfing on Panoramas beach break on other boards and just it wasn’t the same! So if you are thinking ‘what shall I get Arran or Lauren for their birthdays in 200?’9, you need not look further than your local surfboard supplier and ask if they do any ’Spanish Boards’, as we’ve come to call them!
The sad demise of Mr Cruz
Jan 13th

We had a two minute silence today for the late, great, Mr Santa Cruz. He met his sad end on Panoramas Beach break. It was literally a beach break.
I will miss Mr Cruz, his glidey speed, and cool minimalist looks. He was a good faithful board. I won’t find one like him in a while. I’ll try not to choose a new board on the rebound, and leave a dignified gap before taking up a new one.
Wherever you are tonight, light a candle for Mr Cruz.
