The 2011 Extreme Academy English National Surfing Championships will run at Watergate Bay from the 30th April to the 2nd May. This one-day event will see surfers from all over England, as well as our local talented bunch battle it out for the National Titles

Very windy in Cornwall!

It’s been really windy the last few days and the surf has been huge! High tides across North Cornwall have been reaching right up to the shore. The Mermaid Pub at Porth and even the Beach Hut cafe at Watergate Bay have seen the sea up close and personal! Forecasts More >
Getting a few winter waves

In the surf again today, 4 degrees air and 10 degrees sea, it actually felt ok. I didn’t bother with a hoody, Lauren scored a few nice long board waves at Newquay’s not-so-secret spot, with some good waist high lefts. Lauren did wear her hoody!

Very small, but clean at Watergate Bay

Lauren surfed the winter swell at Watergate Bay today! It wasn’t quite the usual size of winter waves, but it was clean and rideable, so that suited her fine! Josh enjoyed a walk on the beach too.
Fingers crossed for something more than this happening on Wednesday? Please?!!
